Electric Vehicle Charger Reliability and Accessibility Accelerator
Sept. 21, 2023
The Federal Highway Administration is hosting a webinar to provide an overview of the Electric Vehicle (EV) Charger Reliability and Accessibility Accelerator notice of funding opportunity (NOFO).
The EV Charger Reliability and Accessibility Accelerator NOFO was published on Sept. 13, 2023, offering up to $100 million to repair or replace broken or non-operational EV chargers. The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law established the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Formula Program as the first major federal funding program that focuses on a nationwide deployment of EV charging infrastructure. The NEVI Formula Program stipulates a 10% set-aside for grants to states and localities that require additional assistance to strategically deploy EV charging infrastructure. The first round of funding will focus on improving the reliability of the current network by repairing or replacing existing EV charging infrastructure.
