EV Consumer Interest, Availability, and Affordability

According to JD Power EV Index data for September 2024, featuring data through August 2024:

  • The EV adoption index rose, and mainstream EV sales accounted for more than a third of total EV sales for the first time at 36%.
  • Leases, particularly for compact SUVs, became more affordable. The availability of lower-priced trims improved affordability overall.
  • Pickups provide more range: the GMC Sierra EV and Chevrolet Silverado EV topped range scores.
