Technical Assistance and Resources for Transit Agencies

The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Federal Transit Administration Low or No Emission (Low-No) Vehicle Program provides $5.6 billion over 5 years (2022–2026) to help modernize bus fleets and bus facilities across the country, focused on helping transit agencies purchase or lease alternative fuel vehicles and necessary charging or fueling infrastructure.

Entities currently receiving Low-No funds, planning to apply for Low-No funds, or using other DOT Federal Transit Administration program funds for alternative fuel buses can contact the Joint Office of Energy and Transportation for technical assistance to plan for and deploy alternative fuel transit buses.
